Roulette, Random Picker & Dice Roller

Decide where to eat, who goes first, or who wins a giveaway. Enter one item per line and spin. The dice roller supports tabletop RPG dice from d4 to d100. For random strings such as passwords, see the Password Generator.

Items and weights

The larger an item’s weight, the more likely it is to win (default 1). The percentage below each weight is its chance.

    Bulk entry / paste

Enter or paste one item per line. Add a weight at the end of a line, such as "*3" (for example Jackpot*1, Miss*9).

    Notes

    • Randomness comes from your browser’s cryptographic generator (crypto.getRandomValues) and is drawn without bias. The wheel animation is only a show: the result is decided before it spins.
    • The result cannot be proven fair to a third party. Do not use this tool for giveaways governed by sweepstakes law or for any draw involving money.
    • Add a weight such as "*3" at the end of a line to make the chance proportional to it (lines without one count as 1). The wheel segment sizes and the percentages shown below the list follow the weights, and Draw mode uses the same weights without repeats. Entering the same item on several lines also makes it more likely to win.
    • Up to 100 items are supported. Long names are shortened on the wheel, but the result shows the full text.
    • You can roll up to 100 dice with 2 to 1000 sides and a whole-number modifier.

    Glossary

    Dice notation (such as 2d6+3)

Tabletop RPG shorthand: 2d6+3 means roll two six-sided dice, add them up, then add 3. This tool takes the number of dice, the sides and the modifier as separate fields.

    Cryptographic randomness

Random numbers designed to be hard to predict. The tool uses the browser’s crypto.getRandomValues, which has less bias and predictability risk than Math.random().

    FAQ

Is the result truly random and unbiased?

It uses the browser’s cryptographic generator (crypto.getRandomValues) and rejection sampling so that no value is favored by a remainder. The wheel animation is just a show: the result is decided before it spins.

Can I set a different chance for each item?

Yes. Add a weight at the end of a line such as "*3"; the chance is proportional to it. "A*3" and "B*1" give A 75% and B 25%. Lines without a weight count as 1, and decimals like B*0.5 work. The wheel segments are sized to match and the percentages are shown under the list. Entering the same name on several lines also works in proportion to the number of lines.

Can the same person be drawn twice?

Draw mode picks without repeats, so each line can win only once. Identical names on separate lines count as separate entries. For repeated spins, turn on "Remove each winner from the next spin".

Can I use it for a giveaway?

It is fine for casual draws among friends, but it offers no way to prove fairness to a third party. Do not use it for sweepstakes governed by law or for draws involving money.

How do I enter something like 2d6+3?

In Dice mode, enter 2 for the number of dice, 6 for the sides and 3 for the modifier. Buttons fill in the sides for d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100.
