Memorization Sheet Maker (Red Sheet, Fill-in-the-Blank)
Wrap the words you want to learn like **term** and they are covered up as if by a red study sheet. Click or tap a term to peek at it, hide or show everything at once, and copy a list of just the answers. To count the characters in your notes, try the Character Counter.

Notes
- Only text wrapped in ** is hidden. An unclosed ** or an empty **** is shown as plain characters.
- Your text is displayed as plain text and never interpreted as HTML, so tags such as <b> appear exactly as typed.
- The print state is independent of what is on screen and follows the "Print state" setting. If the red bars look faint, enable background graphics in your browser print dialog.
- Hidden terms keep their width, so the length can be a hint. Use the blank style if you would rather not give that away.
- Everything runs in your browser; the text you enter is never sent to a server.
FAQ
How do I make a red-sheet study sheet?
Wrap each term you want to learn in ** (for example, The capital of Japan is **Tokyo**). The preview covers those terms with a red bar, and clicking one reveals the answer in red.
Can I print it with terms hidden or with answers shown?
Yes. Pick the print state: terms hidden for the question sheet, or answers in red for the answer key. Terms you revealed on screen do not affect what gets printed.
The red bars look faint or missing when I print.
Your browser may be set not to print background colors. Turn on "Background graphics" in the print dialog options. The blank (underline) style does not depend on background colors.
What if my text contains a literal **?
An unclosed ** or an empty **** is shown as plain characters. Only a ** pair with at least one character between them counts as a marker, so ordinary text is safe.
