Number Sequence & Date List Generator
Create numbered file names (img_001, img_002…) or lists of dates for schedules in one go. Set zero padding, a prefix and suffix, the step, the date interval (days, weeks, months), weekday labels, and skip weekends. For random values use the Random String & Number Generator; for a calendar layout use the Calendar Generator.

YYYY = 4-digit year, MM = 2-digit month, M = month, DD = 2-digit day, D = day, YY = 2-digit year
How to use
- Choose "Number sequence" or "Date list" under "Type".
- Enter the start value (start date) and step or interval, then set the count or end value (end date) under "Stop by".
- Set the prefix and padding, or for dates the format, weekday and "Skip weekends", then press "Generate".
- Take the result with "Copy result" or the download button. "Separator" switches between new lines and commas.
Notes
- You can generate up to 10,000 items at a time.
- Number sequences are whole numbers only. For negative numbers the digits after the sign are zero-padded (for example -01).
- For monthly steps, a day that does not exist in a month moves to the last day of that month (Jan 31 is followed by Feb 28 or 29).
- Dates use the Gregorian calendar for years 1 to 9999. Public holidays are not considered; only weekends can be skipped.
- In the date format, the letters YYYY, YY, MM, M, DD and D are replaced; any other characters such as slashes are output as they are.
- Your settings and results are processed only in your browser and never sent to a server.
FAQ
How do I make zero-padded numbers like 001?
Set "Zero padding digits" to 3 and 1 becomes 001, 25 becomes 025. Numbers wider than the padding (such as 1000) simply grow and are never cut. For file names, put "img_" in the prefix and ".jpg" in the suffix to get img_001.jpg.
What happens when I start on the 31st with monthly steps?
A day that does not exist in a month moves to that month’s last day. From January 31 with one-month steps you get 1/31, 2/28 (2/29 in a leap year), 3/31, 4/30. Each date is calculated from the start date rather than the previous one, so it returns to the 31st in March.
How does skipping weekends affect the count?
With a count, weekend days are skipped and the list continues until you have the requested number of dates. With an end date, only weekdays in the period are output. If no date can match, such as starting on a Saturday with 7-day steps, an error is shown.
Are public holidays and weekday names supported?
Public holidays are not detected; only Saturdays and Sundays can be skipped. Weekdays appear after the date, like "2026-10-14 (Wed)" or in full as Wednesday, depending on the option you choose.
Is there a limit on how many items I can generate?
Up to 10,000 items. If an end value or end date would produce more, an error is shown; split the range or use a larger step or interval.
