Upside Down & Mirror Text Generator

Turn your text upside down, mirror it left to right, or just reverse it. Press Copy next to a result and paste it into a social media bio or a game name. Only supported characters (letters, digits and some symbols) are flipped; everything else stays as it is, and the tool tells you how many characters could not be converted. For bold or bubble letters, see the Unicode Text Decorator.

Results

  • Upside down
  • Mirrored (left to right)
  • Reversed (no character swap)

Notes

  • The converted characters are not ordinary letters but other Unicode characters. Search, usernames and passwords treat them as different characters from the originals.
  • Only letters, digits and some symbols in the conversion table are swapped. Other characters, such as Japanese, stay as they are and only their order is reversed.
  • Some flipped characters may not display in every font (shown as □ or ?). Check how the text looks where you paste it.
  • For multi-line text, each line is reversed on its own. The order of the lines does not change.
  • Screen readers cannot read this text properly, so do not use it for important information.

Glossary

Upside down text

Text that looks rotated by 180 degrees. It is made by swapping each letter for a similar-looking Unicode character and reversing the order.

Mirror text

Text flipped left to right, as if seen in a mirror. Characters with no mirrored form in Unicode stay unchanged.

FAQ

Can it flip Japanese text upside down?

No. Only letters, digits and some symbols have flipped forms. Japanese characters stay as they are and only their order is reversed. The number of characters that could not be converted is shown under each result.

What is the difference between upside down and mirror?

Upside down swaps each character for one that looks rotated 180 degrees (a becomes ɐ) and reverses the order. Mirror swaps it for a left-right reflection (a becomes ɒ). Symmetric characters such as A, H and O keep their shape.

Some flipped characters show as □ or ?

The font you are using does not include that character. Common ones such as ɐ and ǝ usually display fine, but rarer ones like ꟻ may not. Try another mode or check the text in the app where you will use it.

Can I turn the flipped text back?

Usually, if you run the same mode again. Characters that are not in the conversion table, or that share the same flipped shape, cannot be restored exactly.
