About the Service

NyankoTools (nyankotools.com) is a free, browser-only toolkit covering everyday tools like JSON formatting and Base64 conversion, plus careful support for Japanese-specific text processing such as kana and full-width/half-width conversion. No account is required, and nothing you type is ever sent to our servers.

Open-Source Licenses

The HEIC to JPG Converter uses the LGPL-3.0 licensed open-source library "heic-to" and the "libheif" library it bundles. The full license texts are available for heic-to (LGPL-3.0) and libheif (LGPL-3.0). libheif: Copyright (c) 2017-2020 Struktur AG, Copyright (c) 2017-2026 Dirk Farin. The source code can be obtained from heic-to on GitHub and libheif on GitHub. These libraries are used unmodified.

The Video & Audio Converter uses the MPL-2.0 licensed open-source libraries "mediabunny" and "@mediabunny/mp3-encoder". MP3 output includes a WebAssembly build of the LGPL-licensed LAME MP3 Encoder (lame.sourceforge.io). Licenses: mediabunny (MPL-2.0), @mediabunny/mp3-encoder (MPL-2.0) and LAME. The source code is available on mediabunny on GitHub. These libraries are used unmodified.

The image OCR tool uses the Apache-2.0 licensed Tesseract.js and tesseract.js-core, plus the Tesseract trained language data (tessdata_best, Apache-2.0), all served from this site. Licenses: tesseract.js and tesseract.js-core. The language data is available at tessdata_best (GitHub). They are used unmodified.
