Glossary
dpi (resolution)
Dots per inch. PDF pages are rasterized relative to 72 dpi, so a higher setting gives sharper text but a larger file.
PNG vs JPEG
PNG is lossless and suits text and diagrams. JPEG is lossy and suits photos, producing smaller files.
Encrypted (password-protected) PDF
A PDF that requires a password to open. This tool cannot process password-protected PDFs.
FAQ
Can I adjust the image quality when converting a PDF?
You can choose a resolution of standard (72 dpi), high (144 dpi) or maximum (216 dpi), and export as PNG or JPEG. For extremely large pages, the image may be scaled down automatically to fit browser limits.
Can I combine several images into one PDF?
Yes. Select multiple images and they are placed one per page in the order chosen, in a single PDF. You can fit the page to each image or use A4, and you can add more images afterward.
Are my files sent anywhere?
No. Both PDFs and images are processed in your browser and never leave your device.
